We will then visit pot manufacturing workshops, which is also on our way to Antsirabe. We will arrive late in the evening in Antsirabe and we will settle you directly into your hotel upon arrival.

Today, enjoy a visit to two lakes that make the city of Antsirabe special. Before, we will visit accessories shops made with zebu horns. We will then head towards Lake Andraikiba and then towards Lake Tritriva, a greenish blue lake. The lakes, both of volcanic origin, offer a unique landscape and have magnificent stories.

Leaving Antsirabe in the cool morning air, the road winds through scenic highland landscapes dotted with rice paddies and traditional villages. Leaving Bekopaka in the early morning, the drive begins on rugged dirt tracks and includes river crossings by ferry. Today, we are going to continue our adventure towards Ranohira : the gateway of Isalo National Park. We will visit the arboretum of Antsokay where you will see a collection of more than 900 species of plants from southwest Madagascar, 90% of which are endemic to the region and 80% have medicinal properties but you will also see animals like lemurs, butterflies, turtles, etc. Today, we will also visit Zombitse National Park which is renowned for its richness in rare bird species, endemic to Madagascar and/or the area. It also has 8 species of lemurs, some of which are almost threatened. On the way, we will pass through the Mahafaly tombs which are the highlights of this journey.

Enjoy this day today by visiting Isalo National Park. You will see the famous natural swimming pool and an extraordinary landscape characterized by the exceptional formation of rocks. Plan a picnic lunch in the park. You might encounter lemurs and chameleons during the visit.

Today we will continue our journey towards Ranomafana. Radical change of scenery, now leaving the landscape of rocks entering the landscape of the highlands with these well-superimposed rice fields. We will also start to see a little green on the landscape as we get closer to Ranomafana. Get ready to make a little nighttime visit around the park to see the frogs, chameleons, lemurs and other animals that are active at night.
